The Promise
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” — 1 Peter 1:3 (NKJV)
Saturday morning, the sun rose, but the hearts of the followers of Jesus were broken. Just a day before, all of their earthly hopes had been dashed. Were they fools? Was this a dream? Were they the next to die? This couldn't have been what God had planned. They had read the prophecies. Just one week before, all of the people had acknowledged that Jesus was the promised Messiah from the line of David, shouting “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’ Hosanna in the highest!”
Their king, their Messiah had come. They knew it. They had seen the miracles. They felt their hearts resonate with His words, even when they didn’t completely understand them. How had it all changed so fast?
Have you felt like they did? Like the life you are living couldn’t possibly be God’s plan?
That Saturday was the darkest day the earth has ever had. All of our earthly hope lay lifeless in a tomb. All hope was gone. But God...
God had a plan so wonderful, so complete, we could never have seen or comprehended it, even if He told us. We know that to be true, because He did tell us and still no one saw what was coming. No one imagined Sunday morning.
Friday night ended in defeat, Saturday was reigned by fear, but oh, that Sunday morning, it brought rejoicing that world has never gotten over.

Behind every service, every event, and every gathering at our church, there are faithful hands quietly serving—often unseen, but never unnoticed.
Our Facility Care Team plays a vital role in preparing our church for worship each week. From cleaning and organizing to helping maintain a welcoming and beautiful space, their work allows others to come in and focus on what matters most— worshipping the Lord and growing in their faith.
This ministry may not always be visible, but it is deeply meaningful and appreciated. It is an act of service that reflects care for God’s house and love for His people.
We are currently looking for additional volunteers to join this team. If you are willing to serve in a practical way and help care for the space God has given us, we would love to have you be a part.
Whether you can serve regularly or occasionally, your help makes a difference. If you are interested, please see Lauren.
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.”
