Hitting The Ground Running

Have you entered the storehouses of the snow or seen the storehouses of the hail?
-Job 58:22

The year has started off slowly at the church and what a lovely winter sabbath it has been. After the busy holiday season, the cold sleepiness of winter feels just right to find rest in the Lord before getting back to the work that inevitably comes with the spring.

We pray that every one enjoyed the break that the ice and snow brought this week and we have prayed for all of you to stay safety and warm. How blessed we were in our area to keep power and have heat in this extreme cold, but please pray for those who have much work to do around their communities in this bitter weather . We are planning to have church this Wednesday night but if you do not feel safe getting out in the cold, please join us on the livestream.

As we get into February, things will be much busier at the church. Be sure to check out the upcoming events below. We have so many things to participate in this month and you won't want to miss it.

Let's hit the ground running for Jesus this February and share His love with everyone we encounter.

December/ January Recap

The end of the year is always a busy season, and that was certainly true for our church family. We kicked off the Christmas season by participating in the Manchester Christmas Parade, a perfect opportunity to connect with our community. A heartfelt thank you to the Patterson and Corum families for their hard work and the beautiful job they did on the float this year. We are also grateful for all the children and teens who rode the float and helped hand out candy and connection cards. And thank you to everyone who donated candy. We had more than ever before and made it nearly to the end of the parade route before running out. For the first time, kids near the end of the route were thrilled to see we still had candy to share.

Our annual Ugly Sweater Christmas Party and Christmas Cantata were held on December 14th, and what a joyful evening it was! The food was delicious, the sweaters were impressively hideous, and the fellowship was sweet. A special thank you to all of our musicians who helped turn our hearts and focus toward Jesus as we prepared to celebrate His birth.

On Christmas Eve, we gathered for our Candlelight Service, a quiet, meaningful time to worship and reflect on the gift of Christ. This past year, over 80 people joined us, the largest attendance since we began this tradition. If you haven't experienced it yet, we invite you to come this year and consider making it a cherished part of your family's Christmas celebration.
